Company Culture – A Comfortable Fit

Looking for a job is a job in itself.

And company culture should not be overlooked if you’re looking for the best fit.

To get successful results, you need to have your ducks in a row.

There’s resume revision, networking, research, resume posting, interviewing, follow up, waiting for an offer, negotiating an offer, more waiting, etc, etc.

If you’re one of those unusual people who has had one job your entire career, you’ve been spared the experience of a hair raising job search.

If you have a job offer on the table, remember to ask yourself before you accept:

*Is this company aligned with my core values?
*Are the people I’ll be working with relatable?
*Is the management style conducive to me being productive?
* Will I be challenged and engaged?
* Does this company value and encourage diversity?

Even when working remotely, company culture is still important and shouldn’t be ignored.

Ask yourself if you’ll be out of your element – or does this feel like a comfortable shoe that “fits.”

If it doesn’t feel comfortable, find yourself another pair of shoes.

“Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.”
~ Marilyn Monroe
